Beijing (Near the Edge)

This photograph is from the "Particles of Light" Series. The photographs from this series are used for my current photographic work, like the one seen in the Heussenstamm Stiftung Exhibition in Frankfurt am Main during the Ursprünge exhibition.

The original image was shot in Beijing and it is a pigeon ready to take flight, observed out of a conference room in an office building. The pigeon is trapped in a humanly created world. And the photographer is trapped in an even more elaborate version of that world. I shot this photo at the end of the very last meeting in that building. Both the pigeon and I were on the edge of things

The particle of light photographs (15x10cm) are sent via regular mail, unprotected, like postcards. All photographs are signed, numbered and stamped on verso. 

Photos are printed on Baryta paper and should not deteriorate in any major way for at least 100 years. (If dealt with carefully.)
