This unique Nerikomi Agate Ware was hand carved using the Kurinuki technique I learned from Kyoshitsu Sasaki. It is a fairly large and very deep tea bowl and so it is perfect for the winter months, when the temperature of the tea is to remain warm for longer. Size is 10x11x12cm. Weight is 425g which is not too much as the bowl is large. This item is safe for drinking matcha out of, but it is not intended for heavy use with foot items and should also only be cleaned using a damp cloth or water.
The crackle glaze will allow for some of the tea to enter and so the patterns inside will change over time, especially at the very bottom of the bowl.
